Does anyone know how much time in PA you get off when family dies? I forgot to ask the Asst. Manger when I called in this morning.

I think you get three days. I don't see why PA would be different.

Yup.. Pretty sure it's 3 days bereavement pay

Thanks everyone

3 days. But only for immediate family memebers, (Parents, Brothers or sister, and grandparents) and not ones related by marrage.

Not necessarily. I got 3 days when my brother-in-law passed away.

Hmmm, then it's different from store to store, I could get the days off paid w?o useing my personal or vacation, for my husbands mom.

hmm sounds to me like your management is fucked up. My mother has worked for Walmart for 10 years; when my grandmother died (my dad's mother) my mom was able to get bereavement pay for my grandmother's funeral.

Your own Grandparents are part of it. When my passed a few years ago, I did get the days off. But if it was for a husbands or wifes grandparent or parents, you cant get it off.

Well, she did write that it was her mother who got the time off for her husband's mother.

right; that was before I worked for Walmart. My mom has been with Walmart for 10 years. I got time off from my employer at the time, and my mom got time off from Walmart.

When my father-in-law died I got 3 days off for bereavement. I also got 3 days off on sick leave just before he died because he was in ICU. That was 5 years ago. Things have changed, but Wal-Mart is suppose to be family. They USE to be family.
