Wal-Mart Associates

I quit working at Walmart in Aug of 2006.
I was wondering when I can expect to receive my W2 in the mail, as I've all ready received one from my current job.
Is Walmart good about mailing them out ASAP or do they wait until the last minute?

Thanks for your help with this question!

I've noticed that W2 doesn't get issued until Week 1, schedule-wise, and that's 2 weeks from now, so most likely won't get it for at least a week, and that's if Walmart doesn't foul up and send your paperwork to the wrong address (they did it to me 2x ... was fired very beginning of the year, and moved a week later, but forwarded the address)

It's available on-line at Walmartbenefits.com

I tried that but it told me I was not a current Walmart associate.

According to the sign that is hanging by the time clock, it states that they will be mailed out the 24th or 26 (can't remember) to the address that was on file with Walmart at the time you ended your employement. If it has changed since then, I suggest you go to post office to forward your mail again.

Got into that site and found out if you have not consented for on-line delivery W-2 will be mailed by January 31, 2007.

Hope this helps...

17th-Jan-2007 01:46 am (UTC) - Last years W2
I got the form with my last check.
I don't guess I would have gotten it if I hadn't gone to the store and picked up the last check.
By law they are supposed to mail it to you.

You should call your stores HR person and tell them to send your W2 as soon as it comes in. If you dont call, it will be sitting in a box in the HR office until they "assume" you will come in and pick it up. Or if you have access to a computer, you can get a copy of your W2 on-line. GOOD LUCK.

Are people who are no longer employeed allowed to go to the store and pick it up?

I'm having the same problem. I quit in June of 2006. My current job sent me my W-2 about a week ago now. I really want to get my taxes done, but bullsh*t Wal-Mart hasn't sent me my forms yet. Yet another reason to hate wal-mart.

24th-Jan-2008 11:18 am (UTC) - 2007 W2s from Wal Mart and other companies
I found the following site that has W2 forms that can be printed for Wal Mart and many other companies who post their W2s online:

You enter your SSN and your Pin (which is your most recent Gross earnings) and it will search and then display your current 2007 W2 form in Adobe Acrobat so you can print it out.
